Budapest is the city of opportunities - be it summer or winter, there’s always something to do. Sure, there are museums and sightseeing, but let’s skip that now. Because they are always there, and all of the guidebooks cover that part. Now, let’s skip to the seasonal part, shall we?
A38 is a nice destination if you want to let some steam out - international and Hungarian performers alike give quality concerts and parties here on a daily basis. In addition, in the world’s best bar (awarded by Lonely Planet!) you can dance the night through with the best Hungarian DJ’s at the helm. Check out their site out for more information - and prepare your world to be rocked!
If you are more metal at heart, we recommend to check out Barba Negra Music Club. Anthrax, Ill Nino, Sonic Syndicate, just to mention a few of the previous performers. Just in a few years Barba Negra grew to be one of the biggest concert pubs of Budapest.
Anker’t serves as a Sunday market by day, and as a hip party place by night. Full-blown party for the hearts that beat with the bass, starring DJ’s like Adam Dolph, Ster and Dank.
In Dürer Kert (Dürer Garden), spring always means the start of a new, year long madness. With groups like Ott, Perfect Stranger, Megalopsy they just can’t get it wrong. During April, classic punk, like The Exploited and The Casualties take the stage, but it is also the home of psychedellic trans and goa music.
If you want to take “spring party” literally, there’s the Széchenyi and Lukács bath for you - on every saturday, Dj’s spin their plates to give the most exotic party in Budapest!
Finally, spring opens up the opportunity to take a ride on one of the frenetic partybikes. Get all your friends together, download your favourite tunes and start pedalling, because that’s what beer bikes are about. This is one of the best ways to prepare for an all night long party. Don’t feel guilty for drinking those beers. You are excercising and adopting cultural impulses at the same time. In other words, combining work with pleasure. Good for you!
